Compliance Officer
About the role
Mkombozi Commercial Bank is seeking a Compliance Officer in Dar es Salaam to develop and implement risk-based compliance monitoring, identify and assess compliance risks, and support regulatory compliance across the bank. Responsibilities: - Maintain the regulatory correspondence tracker and follow up on timely responses and submissions - Coordinate timely and accurate submission of regulatory returns and reports - Monitor compliance with AML/CFT/CPF requirements, including customer screening and transaction monitoring - Coordinate and monitor compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act, 2022, and applicable regulations - Coordinate and monitor implementation of the Bank’s ESG framework, regulatory requirements, and related reporting obligations - Conduct periodic risk-based compliance reviews across the bank’s operations and branches - Track implementation of corrective actions arising from regulatory examinations and compliance reviews - Monitor regulatory changes and coordinate their timely implementation - Provide compliance guidance and advisory support to departments and branches - Identify, document, and escalate compliance breaches and follow up on corrective action - Maintain the Bank’s policy register and coordinate timely review and updates with respective policy owners - Assess regulatory compliance requirements for new products, services, and business processes - Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time How to apply: Email your CV and cover letter to: recruitment@mkombozibank.co.tz
Key requirements
- Knowledge of banking compliance and corporate governance requirements
- Knowledge of AML/CFT/CPF compliance, customer screening, and transaction monitoring
- Knowledge of data protection compliance and applicable regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to conduct risk-based compliance reviews and monitor corrective actions
- Ability to monitor regulatory changes and coordinate implementation
