Research Officer II (Obstetrics/Gynaecology/Maternal Health)
About the role
NIMR is looking to hire two Research Officers II in Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Maternal Health to collect and analyse field data, write manuscripts and reports, and support the planning of health research projects in Tanzania. Responsibilities: - Perform field data collection, computer data entry, analysis and gathering of relevant literature. - Undertake specific research activities with less supervision from senior researchers or the team leader. - Prepare and submit draft manuscripts to the supervisor for review. - Train and supervise technicians. - Prepare research progress reports according to work plans. - Assist in the planning of specific research projects. - Assist in preparing fundable research proposals and consultancies. - Perform other official duties as assigned by the supervisor. Key requirements
- Master's Degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of an Upper Second Class, or an overall minimum Grade B+ for unclassified degrees.
- Skills in field data collection, data entry and analysis.
