Artisan Grade II - Electrical - 736 Positions
About the role
We are looking to hire 736 Electrical Artisans Grade II for the Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO) to assist in preventive maintenance, inspection, testing and fault diagnosis of electrical systems and equipment. Responsibilities: - Assist in preparing all scheduled preventive maintenance. - Assist in inspecting electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair. - Assist in testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters and voltmeters to ensure compatibility and safety of the system. - Assist in diagnosing malfunctioning system apparatus and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. - Perform any other related duties from time to time as assigned by Supervisor. Key requirements
- Secondary Education Certificate
- VETA Trade Test II / National Vocational Award Level II or Certificate of Competence Level II in Electrical Installation or another relevant trade from a recognized vocational training institution
- Tanzanian citizen not above 45 years of age
- Public Service employees and retirees from the Public Service are not eligible
