Warehouse Operative

About the role

Bayer is seeking a Warehouse Operative in Mbeya to coordinate warehouse activities including the loading, picking, checking, stacking, storage and inventory control of seeds and crop protection products while maintaining safety, quality and compliance standards. Responsibilities: - Store and control all raw and treated seed in the warehouse - Assist with inventory management, seed storage and stacking - Drive a forklift and perform loading and offloading activities - Work with casual workers on warehouse operations - Ensure good housekeeping in the warehouse - Support warehouse workers on ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and OSHA 18001 safety procedures - Support and coordinate with service provider contractors at the site - Ensure inventory security and protect inventory from pests and spillages - Support fumigation of seed and pest control in the warehouses - Organize loading and offloading of seed from the processing plant and imports - Support seed destruction processes for approved written-off seed - Carry out warehouse safety activities according to OSHA 18001 procedures - Adhere to forklift safety procedures - Support inventory control through weekly and monthly counts - Update stock cards in real time - Report warehouse non-conformities - Work closely with the Warehouse Coordinator How to apply: Apply online via the Bayer careers portal: https://jobs.bayer.com/job/Mbeya-Warehouse-Operative-Tanz/1449527333/
