Research Officer II (Geoinformatics)
About the role
The National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR) is looking to hire two Research Officers II (Geoinformatics) to carry out field data collection, spatial data analysis, and research activities, and to support the preparation of research proposals, manuscripts, and progress reports. Responsibilities: - Perform field data collection, computer data entry, analysis, and gathering of relevant literature - Undertake specific research activities with less supervision from senior researchers or the team leader - Prepare and submit manuscript drafts to the respective supervisor for review - Train and supervise technicians - Prepare research progress reports according to respective work plans - Assist in the planning of specific research projects - Assist in preparing fundable research proposals and consultancy - Perform any other official duties as may be assigned by the supervisor How to apply: Apply online through the Ajira Portal: https://portal.ajira.go.tz/view-advert/qpOXtjuamLlZkodFSXTAJvNMA%3D%3D
Key requirements
- Master's Degree in Geoinformatics or Geomatics
- Minimum of an Upper Second Class or overall minimum Grade B+ for unclassified degrees
- Degree obtained from a recognized institution
