About the role
iRiS Construction and Trading W.L.L. is looking to hire a Quantity Surveyor for its Zanzibar Branch. This position requires strong knowledge of quantity take-off, Bill of Quantities (BOQ) preparation, cost estimation, valuation, and managing variations in construction projects, alongside a good understanding of project cost control and commercial documentation. Responsibilities: - Carry out quantity take-offs from construction drawings and specifications. - Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for construction projects. - Prepare cost estimates for construction works and materials. - Prepare valuations of completed works for interim and final payments. - Assess, evaluate, and manage variations to the contract scope. - Monitor and control project costs to keep projects within budget. - Prepare and maintain commercial documentation for construction projects. Key requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Relevant experience in construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of quantity take-off, BOQ preparation, cost estimation, valuation, and variations.
- Good understanding of project cost control and commercial documentation.
- Ability to join immediately is highly preferred.
