Artisan Grade II - Auto Electric - 6 Positions
About the role
We are looking to hire 6 Auto Electric Artisans Grade II for the Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO) to diagnose, repair and maintain vehicle electrical and electronic systems. Responsibilities: - Diagnose, repair, maintain and carry out preventive servicing of vehicle electrical and electronic systems, including batteries, charging, starting, lighting, wiring and ignition systems. - Inspect, test and troubleshoot vehicle electrical circuits and components using appropriate diagnostic and testing equipment. - Identify electrical faults and repair, replace and adjust defective wiring, connectors, fuses, relays, switches, sensors and other electrical components. - Install, maintain and repair vehicle electrical accessories and systems, including lighting, warning systems, horns, indicators, wipers, gauges and alarms. - Conduct functional checks and road tests after electrical repairs to ensure proper operation and vehicle readiness for service. - Maintain accurate records of vehicle electrical inspections, repairs, servicing, faults, test results, parts and materials used. - Maintain and properly use auto-electrical tools, diagnostic equipment and workshop facilities, and keep the work area clean, safe and orderly. - Comply with Company safety, health and environmental requirements, including safe working practices and proper use of PPE. - Undertake any other duties assigned by the Supervisor. Key requirements
- Secondary Education Certificate
- VETA Trade Test II / National Vocational Award Level II or Certificate of Competence Level II in Auto Electric or another relevant trade from a recognized vocational training institution
- Tanzanian citizen not above 45 years of age
- Public Service employees and retirees from the Public Service are not eligible
