The research teams behind the best-known AI models come to Mercor for investment management judgment they can't generate on their own. Your standards and expertise become the rubric that frontier AI is graded against. This is a standing listing for asset and wealth managers who want AI training and evaluation work, not a specific job opening. It stays open whether or not a matching project is running this week. New projects start on short notice, so instead of posting and pulling a listing each time, we keep one open per field and draw from it when one begins. What the work looks like We match asset and wealth managers in the network to projects like: - Writing an investment case or a client scenario from your own mandate or book, with the thesis, the constraints, and the risk budget, plus the reference answer a model's attempt gets graded against - Grading model-built portfolio construction, allocation, and tax strategy: whether the factor exposures are intended, whether the benchmark is the right one, whether the withdrawal sequencing holds, whether the attribution actually explains the return - Flagging where a model's recommendation is defensible on paper and would breach a real mandate or fail a real client, given liquidity, concentration limits, drawdown tolerance, or time horizon Comparable investment management projects have posted at $100 to $130 an hour, set per project by scope and depth. What we're looking for - Professional experience in portfolio management, buy-side research, multi-asset allocation, financial planning, or private client advisory - Clear written communication, since most of the work involves explaining your reasoning - Comfort with ambiguous tasks, and willingness to flag unclear instructions Where people in this pool have worked The most common backgrounds, though the pool is broader than this: - Long-only asset managers and mutual fund complexes - Hedge funds and multi-strategy platforms - Pension, endowment, and sovereign allocators - Private banks and wirehouse wealth management - Registered investment advisors and multi-family offices - Trust, estate, and fiduciary practices The firm name matters less than whether you made the calls yourself, recently enough to explain the tradeoffs behind them.
