About the role
We are looking to hire 193 Electrical/Electronics Technicians Grade II for the Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO) to install, test, maintain and repair electrical and electronic equipment and systems. Responsibilities: - Install, test, maintain and repair electrical and electronic equipment and systems. - Assist in maintenance and testing of transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, control panels, protection systems, metering equipment and associated electrical installations. - Test electrical and electronic circuits, components and equipment using appropriate testing instruments. - Diagnose faults in electrical, electronic, control and associated systems and undertake corrective measures. - Assist in maintenance of electronic control, monitoring, automation and instrumentation systems. - Participate in installation, testing and commissioning of electrical and electronic equipment. - Maintain technical records, test results and equipment maintenance history. - Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor. Key requirements
- National Technician Award (NTA) Level 6 (Ordinary Diploma) in Electrical, Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a relevant qualification from a recognized institution
- Computer literacy is mandatory
- Tanzanian citizen not above 45 years of age
- Public Service employees and retirees from the Public Service are not eligible
