About the role
Leads compliance oversight, internal control monitoring, audit follow-up, sub-recipient due diligence, investigations, and staff training for Jhpiego’s Tanzania programs under the AFGHS project. Responsibilities: - Work with the Country Director, Project Finance Director, and senior staff to ensure internal control processes and systems adequately minimize risks - Verify that country programs comply with donor rules, organizational policies, and applicable U.S. and host-country laws - Develop an annual compliance review work plan based on the country office project portfolio - Perform and document monitoring visits to sub-recipients and support implementation of improvements - Develop and maintain Jhpiego’s program for monitoring and oversight of sub-recipients - Serve on Jhpiego Internal Compliance Reviews teams as needed - Lead Q.B.E. due diligence reviews and follow up on key actions - Support and track actions arising from audit findings - Minimize fraud through active monitoring and review of country office practices and procedures - Report the status of internal compliance recommendations to the Country Director and senior office staff - Lead or conduct special investigations and analytical projects as needed - Develop best practices for implementing and improving internal controls - Orient and train staff in compliance best practices - Participate as a trainer in country-level compliance training - Ensure compliance with U.S. laws and regulations concerning disbarment and anti-terrorist laws - Report gross misconduct or suspected fraudulent activities to the appropriate Jhpiego leaders - Undertake other special projects assigned by the Country Director How to apply: Submit a single document that contains your cover letter, resume, and references.
