About the role
We are looking for contributors based in Kenya who enjoy practical challenges, follow instructions carefully, and take responsibility for completing what they start. Your mission: find and photograph assigned real-world subjects with your smartphone and deliver 500 accepted items for an AI training dataset. This is a paid pilot assignment: US $50 for 500 accepted items, equivalent to US $0.10 per accepted item. We are looking for people interested in contributing to a larger project, beginning with this clearly defined assignment. What you will photograph The project covers several categories, including:, Retail products: household goods, electronics, tools, food, clothing, furniture, and personal care products. Text and signs: menus, instructions, timetables, public notices, and other eligible printed information. Plants, animals, and natural subjects. Cultural and specialized subjects, such as museum exhibits, collectibles, and equipment, where photography is permitted. We will provide the specific collection list and detailed instructions before you begin. Collect only the subjects requested in your assignment. You must be able to access them in person; some tasks require visiting stores or other locations. What counts as one item, Store products require two photos: the product, followed by its matching store price tag. Both must be accepted together to count as one item.
