Driver Grade II - 100 Positions
About the role
We are looking to hire 100 Drivers Grade II for the Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO) to drive company vehicles safely, keep them serviceable and keep accurate trip and maintenance records. Responsibilities: - Drive Company motor vehicles in accordance with road traffic rules and regulations and approved schedules/routes. - Ensure assigned vehicles are clean, serviceable and equipped with the required tools and equipment. - Perform minor maintenance tasks on assigned vehicle(s). - Maintain accurate and up-to-date trip sheets/logbooks, transportation forms, maintenance records, incident/accident reports and vehicle condition reports. - Coordinate major or periodic vehicle maintenance with Management to minimize service interruptions. - Report vehicle defects promptly to the immediate Supervisor. - Provide professional and courteous transportation services and maintain appropriate conduct at all times. - Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor. Key requirements
- Form IV Certificate
- Class “C or E” Driving License with certificates for the respective grades
- Basic Driving Course from VETA, NIT or any other recognized institution
- At least one (1) year of driving experience without causing accidents
- Tanzanian citizen not above 45 years of age
- Public Service employees and retirees from the Public Service are not eligible
- Class “C or E” Driving License

- At least 1 year of driving experience without causing accidents
