About the role

Mercor connects experts with leading AI labs to train and test frontier AI models. This is Mercor's standing pool for mathematicians who want AI training and evaluation work. New projects start often and are matched from this pool. Pay: USD 40 to 75 per hour. Part time, remote, set per project. What you will do: Write research or competition level problems with intended solutions. Grade AI written proofs step by step. Flag answers that look right but would fail in real life.

Key requirements

• A graduate maths degree, or an equivalent research or competition background
• Clear written communication
• Comfortable with unclear tasks and willing to flag them
