About the role
Volunteer opportunity with Gilys Children Foundation in Arusha. welcoming local and international volunteers to support vulnerable and underprivileged children at our daycare and preschool center in Tanzania. Since 2019, our organization has been dedicated to providing a safe, loving, and educational environment for children from low income families. Currently, we support more than 80 children between the ages of 1 to 5 years through early childhood education, daily care, nutrition support, and community programs. Volunteer Responsibilities Volunteers may assist with: Teaching basic English, drawing, songs, games, and creative activities Supporting daycare and preschool activities Helping children with learning and social development Organizing sports and outdoor activities Assisting with community outreach programs Supporting staff with daily childcare activities Sharing special skills such as art, music, photography, computer skills, or health education Qualifications We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds. No professional experience is required, but the following qualities are appreciated: Love and passion for working with children Positive attitude and teamwork Respect for different cultures Creativity, flexibility, and willingness to learn Basic English communication skills What Volunteers Receive Accommodation support Local meals Airport pickup assistance Cultural experience and community engagement Certificate of participation upon completion Location The program takes place in Tanzania, where volunteers will experience local culture while making a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families.
