About the role

Mercor connects experts with leading AI labs to train and test frontier AI models. A leading AI lab needs Lean engineers and formal mathematicians to help its models state and prove mathematics correctly. Pay: USD 90 to 110 per hour. Part time, at least 20 hours a week, up to 40. Remote, employed through a partner entity. What you will do: Write Lean 4 statements and proofs that compile against mathlib. Formalise informal maths, from competition problems to research lemmas. Review AI generated proofs and explain where they fail.

Key requirements

• Strong Lean 4 and mathlib experience
• Solid background in algebra, analysis, number theory or combinatorics
• Able to judge whether a formal statement matches the original
