Research Officer II (Mental Health/Psychology/Psychiatry)
About the role
NIMR is looking to hire two Research Officers II in Mental Health/Psychiatry to collect and analyse field data, write manuscripts and reports, and support the planning of health research projects in Tanzania. Responsibilities: - Perform field data collection, computer data entry, analysis and gathering of relevant literature. - Undertake specific research activities with less supervision from senior researchers or the team leader. - Prepare and submit draft manuscripts to the supervisor for review. - Train and supervise technicians. - Prepare research progress reports according to work plans. - Assist in the planning of specific research projects. - Assist in preparing fundable research proposals and consultancies. - Perform other official duties as assigned by the supervisor. Key requirements
- Master's Degree in Psychiatry from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of an Upper Second Class, or an overall minimum Grade B+ for unclassified degrees.
- Skills in field data collection, data entry and analysis.
