About the role
Provides specialist maintenance, diagnostics, repair, and technical support for underground heavy mining equipment, particularly equipment fitted with remote control technology, while training and coaching junior auto-electricians. Responsibilities: - Maintain, diagnose, and repair underground heavy mining equipment, particularly units fitted with remote control technology systems - Perform fault finding, diagnostic electrical testing, and specialist repairs across underground vehicles, plant, and related equipment - Provide technical guidance and specialist support to auto-electricians - Repair parts and equipment and maintain petrol and diesel engine motor vehicles - Act as trainer and coach to the team, ensuring skills transfer to junior national auto-electricians - Train employees according to best practices and manufacturer standards - Monitor the development progress of identified team members - Provide regular feedback reports on skills transfer outcomes - Liaise with maintenance planners, agents, and manufacturers regarding parts, equipment, and technical problem resolution - Complete required inspection and repair documentation How to apply: Submit your application through the AngloGold Ashanti careers portal: https://careers.anglogoldashanti.com/job/Geita-Specialist-1-UG-Auto-Electrical-Geit/1448082433/
