Senior Specialist Regulatory Reporting
About the role
CRDB Bank Plc seeks a Senior Specialist Regulatory Reporting in the Department of Finance. The role oversees regulatory reporting to the Bank of Tanzania and other regulators, supports capital reporting and group consolidation, and ensures accurate, complete and timely regulatory returns. Responsibilities: - Prepare, review, validate and submit all daily, bi-weekly and monthly regulatory reports within prescribed timelines. - Perform detailed reconciliations between regulatory reports and source systems, including the General Ledger, Trial Balance, Risk, Treasury and Credit systems. - Submit the monthly capital position to the Senior Manager, Capital and Balance Sheet Management, and consolidate subsidiary reports for group reporting. - Monitor regulatory requirements, circulars and directives from the Bank of Tanzania and other authorities, and assess their impact on reporting. - Support preparation of Capital Adequacy, Liquidity Ratios, Asset Quality, FX Exposure, Leverage Ratio and other prudential returns. - Assist in ICAAP, ILAAP, stress testing, sensitivity analysis and regulatory capital assessments. - Develop and maintain robust controls over regulatory reporting processes and investigate reporting exceptions. - Collaborate with ICT, MIS, DWH and business teams to automate regulatory reporting processes. - Ensure timely submission of abandoned property returns and other statutory disclosures. Key requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Banking, Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in regulatory reporting, financial reporting, risk reporting, finance, audit or banking operations.
- Professional qualifications such as CPA(T), ACCA, CFA or equivalent are an added advantage.
- Practical experience in preparing regulatory returns for the Bank of Tanzania or similar regulators is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of Bank of Tanzania regulations, prudential guidelines and reporting requirements.
- Knowledge of Basel II and III, Capital Adequacy, Liquidity Risk Management, ICAAP and ILAAP.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and data interpretation skills.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills.
