Claims Manager
About the role
We are looking to hire a Claims Manager for Tanzindia Assurance Limited in Dar es Salaam, to oversee the claims department, ensuring valid claims are processed efficiently, staff are managed effectively, and compliance with regulations is maintained. Responsibilities: - Review Claims: Check if insurance claims are valid, legal, and covered under the policy. - Manage Staff: Supervise claims officers, adjusters, and support teams to drive high performance. - Resolve Disputes: Handle difficult or high-value cases and investigate suspected fraud. - Ensure Compliance: Follow industry regulations, company policies, and customer protection laws. - Report Metrics: Track processing times and prepare performance reports for senior leaders. Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in insurance, risk management, business, or a related field
- Strong background in insurance operations or claims handling
- At least 5 years of experience in handling claims
- Excellent verbal and writing communication skills
- Strong logical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to assess risk and detect fraud
