Research Assistant II (Medicine)
About the role
NIMR is looking to hire three Research Assistants II in Medicine to support research proposal development, data collection, analysis and reporting for health research in Tanzania. Responsibilities: - Participate in developing sound and fundable research proposals to attract donor funding. - Assist in the timely submission of study proposals to the relevant institutional review boards (IRB) for approval. - Conduct approved health research by collecting data. - Assist in data analysis and report writing. - Assist in identifying consultancy opportunities, responding to them and implementing awarded contracts to contribute to institutional sustainability. - Assist in the registration and monitoring of approved health research in Tanzania. - Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the supervisor. Key requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Medicine (e.g. Doctor of Medicine) from a recognized institution.
- Overall minimum Grade B+ for unclassified degrees.
- Ability to collect, analyse and report research data.
