Artisan Grade II - Gorge Attendant - 3 Positions
About the role
We are looking to hire 3 Gorge Attendants (Artisan Grade II) for the Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO) to clean, inspect and maintain the Gorge site infrastructure and sprinkler systems and to support the survival of the Kihansi Frogs. Responsibilities: - Clean the Gorge area surroundings, including sprinkler systems and walkways. - Read water pressure in artificial sprinkler systems. - Inspect the Gorge infrastructure and pavement to identify defects. - Do civil works, particularly masonry and plumbing works, under the directives of the Environmental Engineer. - Report to the Environmental Engineer any defects at the Gorge site for repair and maintenance. - Ensure survival of Kihansi Frogs as per TAWIL and NEMC directives. - Ensure company safety rules and regulations are observed at all times. - Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor. Key requirements
- Secondary Education Certificate
- VETA Trade Test II / National Vocational Award Level II or Certificate of Competence Level II in Mechanics, Electrical Installation or another relevant trade from a recognized vocational training institution
- NEMC or TAWIL Attendance Certificate
- Tanzanian citizen not above 45 years of age
- Public Service employees and retirees from the Public Service are not eligible
- VETA Trade Test II / National Vocational Award Level II
- Certificate of Competence Level II in Mechanics/Electrical Installation
