Engineer Grade II - Telecommunications
About the role
We are looking to hire a Telecommunications Engineer Grade II for the Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO) to assist in the design, installation, maintenance and testing of telecom equipment and facilities. Responsibilities: - Assist in designing and overseeing the installation of telecom equipment and facilities, such as complex electronic switches, broadband data services and satellite communications. - Assist in preparation of physical layout plans for communication system site infrastructure and support systems. - Assist in maintenance of telecommunications equipment. - Assist in testing and evaluating telecommunication hardware and software to determine efficiency, reliability or compatibility with existing systems. - Assist in providing user support by diagnosing network and device problems and implementing technical or procedural solutions. - Perform any other related duties from time to time as assigned by Supervisor. Key requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Electronics and Telecommunications) or relevant qualification from a recognized institution
- Registered as a Graduate Engineer with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB)
- Tanzanian citizen not above 45 years of age
- Public Service employees and retirees from the Public Service are not eligible
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Electronics and Telecommunications) or relevant qualification
- Registration as a Graduate Engineer with ERB
