IIASA Young Scientists Summer Program (YSSP) 2027
International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA)
What it is
A three-month summer research programme at IIASA near Vienna, Austria. PhD students work on their own project with an IIASA mentor. There is no tuition fee. Many participants get grants of about 1,700 euros a month plus return travel, but IIASA says funding is not guaranteed for every applicant.
Who can apply
PhD students from any country, ideally within one to two years of finishing. Your research must link to IIASA's work, you need good English, and you must attend full-time in person. Grants mostly follow IIASA member-country rules, with a smaller number for others.
