Key Responsibilities 1. Collection Assessment & Classification: Review existing holdings, identify items, eliminate duplicate catalog entries, and establish a consistent organizational structure. 2. Professional Cataloging: Develop detailed digital inventories with descriptions, dates, denominations, countries, catalog references, condition assessments, and photographs where appropriate. 3. Gap Analysis & Collection Completion: Identify missing countries, series, denominations, and significant issues to support a systematic acquisition strategy. 4. Collection Architecture: Recommend internationally accepted classification standards, archival systems, album structures, and collection management tools. 5. Preservation & Presentation: Recommend archival-quality storage, handling, arrangement, and display approaches that protect the collection while enhancing its visual appeal. 6. Digital Documentation: Create a searchable, scalable database or catalog that allows the collection to be managed and expanded over time. Who I Am Looking For Ideally, you will bring a combination of: * Genuine enthusiasm for stamps, coins, banknotes, world history, and geography. * Experience in philately, numismatics, museum cataloging, archival management, or collectible inventory systems. * Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and documentation. * Familiarity with international cataloging references and collector standards. * The ability to translate a broad vision into a practical, phased execution plan. * Creativity and an eye for elegant, professional collection presentation.
