About the role

Kabisa, an East African electric vehicle company, wants a site developer to take new fast charging sites in Tanzania from scouting to full operation. The developer finds and assesses locations, checks grid connection capacity with the utility, negotiates contracts with site owners, hires and manages installation subcontractors and secures operating permits. The role tracks every site through the pipeline with solid documentation and may later grow into leading a small team of site developers.

Key requirements

• Electrical engineering background strong enough to judge technical feasibility independently; self starter who drives projects forward; experience developing construction, microgrid or solar projects is a strong plus; comfort with process and documentation; experience working with utility companies is an advantage; able to manage site owners, subcontractors, utilities and permit authorities at once; willing to travel within Tanzania
