About the Role Plans, coordinates, implements, maintains, and monitors IT and telecommunications equipment, systems, services, and security for Médecins Sans Frontières’ Tanzania mission, while providing technical support and user training in Dar es Salaam and field locations. Responsibilities Monitor, maintain, and follow up on all IT and telecommunications equipment, tools, and services in the mission Implement and adapt IT and telecommunications policies, guidelines, documents, and procedures to meet mission needs Prepare and collaborate on the annual IT and telecommunications budget Provide technical expertise for local purchasing and national tenders related to IT and telecommunications Implement and improve data security protocols, including backups, firewalls, user access rights, and equipment and software security Supervise, lead, and delegate tasks to ICT Supervisors Provide technical support to users and logistics experts and escalate unresolved incidents to headquarters technical referents or external providers Provide briefings, training, and educational support to users and logistics experts Prepare regular reports and maintain ICT-related documentation and archives Plan, prepare, and report site visits Implement and periodically update the ICT policy for the Tanzania mission Manage airtime setup, SIM card inventory and usage, smartphone setup, and related policies Conduct periodic field visits to the Liwale project to support ICT activities Participate in ICT briefings for users Test and check HF/VHF radios and telecommunications devices in Dar es Salaam Follow up on internet and airtime service provider payments and contract management Requirements Knowledge of the latest Microsoft operating systems and Office365 business applications Understanding of server management, Active Directory, and Hyper-V virtualization Good knowledge of network administration, including LAN, VLAN, network policies, and protocols Knowledge of computer hardware, maintenance processes, IT security best practices, and IT service management tools Understanding of HF, VHF, GSM, and satellite telecommunications concepts Teaching, user support, and technical troubleshooting skills Results and quality orientation Teamwork and cooperation Behavioural flexibility Commitment to MSF principles Stress management Will this resume get you a callback?
