SUMMARY OF DUTIES This mission is seeking to fill Program Case Analyst position vacancies in the Migration program that may arise following this selection process. These positions provide program, coordination and administrative services in support of the delivery of Canada’s Immigration and Refugee programs, under the general direction of an officer. Working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, under general supervision, program analysts are tasked with a variety of duties, including but not limited to: • Assessing applications in accordance with legislation, regulations, and departmental instructions • Analyzing applications and supporting documentation to identify anomalous, inconsistent or questionable information, determine the need for additional documentation and applicant interviews, and provide recommendations to officers. • Conducting research, including fact-finding interviews, to obtain and verify information related to case processing, quality assurance and program integrity. • Using electronic systems to verify requirements, document information, conduct research, complete verifications, and communicate with contacts and stakeholders. • Contributing to reporting and liaison, program integrity, and Visa Application Centre (VAC) governance activities. Supporting outreach activities related to Canada’s permanent or temporary residence programs. Participating in training and development of colleagues. • Analyzing data information and data from multiple sources to identify trends, support responses to complex migration-related issues, and contribute the work of the Migration Section. • Supervision of staff. To succeed in this role, you must be highly organized, possess strong problem-solving skills, and be able to manage competing priorities while meeting tight deadlines. You must also possess strong written and verbal communication skills in English, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
