About the role
About the Role Leads brewing area teams to deliver production targets, quality standards, operational excellence, cost control, safety compliance, and continuous process improvement at AB InBev’s Dar es Salaam facility. Responsibilities Lead and manage brewing area teams in accordance with Value Packaged Organisation practices. Communicate brewing processes, product quality information, and quality standards. Implement brewing sub-department quality systems and promote product quality excellence. Assess technical brewing requirements and support recommended solutions. Support process and product optimization initiatives, including CAPEX, Value Analysis projects, and production trials. Audit area standards covering quality, processes, and work practices. Support implementation of the seven VPO pillars and workplace standards. Facilitate problem-solving and decision-making with brewing management and operations teams. Verify that corrective actions are implemented and identified problems are resolved. Manage occupational health, safety, and risk matters within assigned area teams. Control fixed and variable operational costs, minimize production waste, and improve efficiency. Ensure compliance with brewing production plans, specifications, operational standards, and environmental requirements. Maintain maintenance and engineering integrity within the brewing area. Optimize process availability to achieve production delivery and reliability targets. Ensure compliance with production technology systems including MES, PTS, eQMS, and PaQT. Apply performance management principles and develop employees for current and future roles. Maintain healthy industrial relations and provide leadership and technical training to production teams. Drive high performance within autonomous production teams. Requirements Brewing process expertise. Beer quality management and quality systems. Production planning and operational management. Problem-solving and decision-making skills. Cost control and budget management. Knowledge of VPO practices and workplace standards. Health, safety, risk, and environmental compliance. People leadership, performance management, and employee development. Knowledge of MES, PTS, eQMS, PaQT, and other production technology systems. Knowledge of SAP modules.
