About the role

Provide legal advice, contract support, litigation management and corporate governance services for Geita Gold Mine and related AngloGold Ashanti entities in Tanzania. The role drafts and reviews commercial agreements, tracks new laws and regulations, coordinates permits with bodies such as the Mining Commission, BRELA and NEMC, and supports Board and committee administration. You will also identify legal risks, work with external counsel and keep accurate legal records.

Key requirements

• LLB from a recognised university and Law School certification; Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania; At least 10 years of legal experience, mining sector preferred; Proven civil, labour and criminal litigation experience; Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills; A master's degree is an advantage
