About the role
About the Role Responsible for driving business growth in the Micro-SME segment by developing customer relationships, supporting lending and portfolio management, enhancing products, and ensuring compliance with banking policies and risk requirements. Responsibilities Develop and maintain business relationships with existing and potential Micro-SME customers and act as the Bank’s key contact person. Assist branches in identifying and negotiating business opportunities to grow the business portfolio in line with annual targets. Initiate and conduct customer engagements, including focus groups, customer forums and workshops. Engage stakeholders to support Micro-SME business growth and safeguard the Bank’s interests. Manage sales leads through the entire funnel from first contact to contract maturity across branches. Participate in developing business operating flows, procedures and processes. Support the Manager, Micro-SME Lending, in soliciting and managing guarantee funds to enhance security cover for the Micro-SME loan portfolio. Support branches in credit structuring and appraisal of Micro-SME loan applications. Review the loan portfolio and recommend interventions to maintain approved performance indicators and targets. Support branches in soliciting deposits from Micro-SME customers. Benchmark the Bank’s products and services against competitors and advise on improvements. Explore, initiate and nurture emerging business leads and growth opportunities across branches. Monitor Micro-SME loan portfolio quality and ensure it remains within acceptable risk levels. Collaborate with the Product team to enhance and develop Micro-SME products and support product training and launches. Monitor Micro-SME product efficiency and effectiveness and recommend corrective measures. Review and advise on pricing of Micro-SME products to maintain market competitiveness. Develop and maintain a product catalogue for Micro-SME business. Participate with the Credit Unit in reviewing credit policies and procedures to address market, industry and regulatory changes. Address risk, compliance and audit issues related to Micro-SME business. Ensure compliance with Micro-SME procedures and loan covenants. Assist branches in monitoring portfolio performance and implementing appropriate interventions. Requirements Business and credit analytical skills. Financial analysis and credit management.
