About the role
About the Role Mogo Credit Tanzania is seeking a detail-oriented Payment Specialist in Dar es Salaam to manage payment imports, payment allocation, reconciliations, disbursements, and financial reporting while ensuring accurate and timely processing of customer payments. Responsibilities Import payment statements from NMB Bank, Yas, M-Pesa, and HaloPesa into the system every hour Verify that payment files are imported completely and accurately without missing or duplicated transactions Communicate with payment service providers regarding service disruptions, delays, or technical problems and follow up until resolution Allocate every payment to the correct client and agreement Investigate and resolve unidentified, unassigned, or incorrectly allocated payments Verify that physical or digital receipts match the exact amounts paid Reconcile completed transactions and payments daily and monthly Compile and prepare monthly payment statements Identify, report, and follow up on reconciliation discrepancies until resolved Prepare budgets and request funds from the Finance Department Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly disbursements Process pending payments after validating corresponding receipts and approvals Disburse payments for repossession costs as required by the Operations Department Maintain complete records and supporting documentation for every disbursement Provide daily updates to the DC Admin Team Lead on payment files, allocated payments, unidentified payments, and payment service provider issues Submit monthly statements, reconciliations, and disbursement summaries on time Immediately report any risk of financial loss or suspected fraud Perform other related duties assigned by the line manager Requirements Accounting, finance, or business administration education Payment processing and reconciliation skills Knowledge of banking and mobile money platforms Microsoft Excel proficiency ERP or loan management system knowledge Numerical accuracy and strong attention to detail Deadline management Honesty, integrity, and confidentiality Kiswahili and English communication skills Find the gaps before the employer does We check your resume against every requirement in this posting, then show you what to fix.
