About the Role We are looking to hire a Hardware Pre Sales Engineer in Dar es Salaam to support sales teams with product configurations, technical solutions, vendor relationships, tender compliance, business development, and hardware installation and delivery. Responsibilities Understand the Personal Computing Solutions Group portfolio very well Work closely with the Sales team to understand client requirements and provide appropriate product configurations, solution recommendations and presales support Conduct business development for the business unit products and solutions Assist the sales team in positioning the right products to clients Manage manufacturer partnership status and relationships by ensuring all presales training is completed within indicated timelines Build strong relationships with vendors to provide the best cost and quotations Ensure the Back Office team has full support for the business unit’s RFPs and tenders Contact distributors to negotiate product prices, update stock information, and provide it to the sales teams Ensure all technical compliance for tenders and RFPs is completed correctly and on time Ensure deal registrations are completed on time to secure future business through price protection Manage partner portals for the hardware business Ensure all client orders are inspected and delivered to clients Supervise, assist, and support the installation and inspection of hardware equipment Explore new solutions to position to clients and the business unit Create and manage opportunities and leads Manage customer relationships and the end-to-end sales process Ensure customer satisfaction Requirements Strong hardware and personal computing solutions knowledge Presales and solution recommendation skills Sales and business development skills Customer relationship management skills Vendor and distributor negotiation skills Tender and RFP technical compliance skills Strong communication and organizing skills Ability to manage partner portals and deal registrations Ability to support hardware installation, inspection, and delivery The same resume will not win every job See how yours reads against this exact role, and what to change for it.
