About the role

Lead the geotechnical discipline at North Mara, providing design input for open pit and underground mine plans and protecting the plan from ground hazards. You will maintain the ground control management plan, manage the geotechnical budget and team, oversee stope and slope designs, stability monitoring, stress modelling and hydrogeological work. The role also trains geotechnical engineers and runs ground control audits.

Key requirements

• Bachelor's in geotechnical engineering, or civil, mining or geology with a master's in geotechnical engineering; At least 5 years in a senior leadership role on a mine site; 5+ years each in underground and open pit operations; Experience with Map3D, Phase2, Dips, Slide3, UnWedge or similar; Strong communication and leadership skills
